9. Is JonEvac UL-approved?

All components used in the JonEvac product are UL approved.

10. Do I need an electrical outlet to power my JonEvac?

Yes. Please contact your local licensed electrician to install a GFCI electrical outlet next to your toilet bowl, or contact our customer service (Phone: 713-995-5500 or Email: hello@Jonevac.com) for a quote on a turn-key installation of your JonEvac ventilation system.

11. Is a GFCI outlet required?

A GFCI outlet is recommended because of the proximity to water sources in your bathroom. Please refer to local building and safety codes.

12. Does JonEvac come with a remote on/off switch or button?

No, JonEvac comes with a 5’ long wire and a power plug to plug into an electrical
outlet. Your electrician can install a wall switch or a motion sensor switch (your
choice) to control the power supply to the electrical outlet where your JonEvac
system is plugged in. The electrical outlet should be installed within 1-2’ from
your toilet bowl.

13. How often do I need to replace my charcoal filters in the fan housing unit?

One to two years, depending on usage. Your nose is the best indicator of when
the filter needs to be changed.

14. Is it hard to change out these filters? Are there instructions for this? Where can I find them?

The filter is easy to change and the printed manual that comes with the JonEvac
replacement filter (JS-002M) explains how to change it.

15. How do I install my new JonEvac? Are there instructions for a handyman or plumber to perform my installation?

Yes, simple printed instructions are included with every JonEvac system we ship
from the factory. Also, you can watch the installation video on our website for a
step-by-step explanation of the installation process.

JonEvac installation is as simple as changing your toilet seat, connect the two air
vacuum hoses between the new JonEvac toilet seat and the fan-housing unit,
and plug the power plug into an electrical outlet.
